What is Thumbraise?
Thumbraise is an amazing new mobile app where startups can pitch investors through an incredibly simple video and text format, similar to Instagram Stories or Snapchat.
We built Thumbraise after talking to hundreds of founders and investors - including our own - and realizing that the company funding and deal sourcing processes were incredibly fractured. How is it that the most tech-forward industry in the world still relies on countless flights, phone calls, and email exchanges to get things done? Isn’t there a better way to do this… online?
With Thumbraise, what used to take hours takes minutes, and what you could only do at scale with a large team can be done single handedly, on your phone, from the comfort of your home!
Event Canceled? Try running it on Thumbraise
After the coronavirus outbreak, the world is canceling all of its large in-person events - and rightfully so. Everyone’s health and safety is the most important thing, and here at Thumbraise we urge everyone to stay at home as much as possible to reduce the risk of infection.
If you’re an angel investor, venture capitalist, or startup competition that was forced to cancel an event or meeting, we strongly urge you to look at Thumbraise as an alternative. We can help you set up a “network” within our app (think private Slack channels) and you can then invite startups to come pitch you through the app. You can also add your colleagues or fellow jurors to review those pitches. All the startup pitches will be served up in an Instagram Stories-esque feed, and you and your colleagues will be able to browse through them at your own pace, in your own time, and from the safety of your home.
If you’re a startup hoping to get in front of investors and participate in events, you can now do that with a few taps on Thumbraise. Creating a full pitch takes a few minutes, and produces a high-quality, immersive experience that makes pitching in person irrelevant.
